Bedbugs (Cimex Lectularius) are small, wingless insects that feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals. Evolving as nest parasites, these six-legged insects hide throughout your home during the day and feed on your blood at night while you sleep.

Common bedbugs are reddish-brown and typically grow no larger than half a centimetre in length. They inject an anticoagulant to prevent blood clotting and an anaesthetic to prevent you from feeling their bites.

Bedbugs infest residences and readily conceal themselves in small crevices, with used furniture, particularly bed frames and mattresses, posing the greatest risk of harbouring bedbugs and their eggs. Other objects such as luggage, furniture, clothing, pillows, and boxes are also susceptible to infestation when moved between premises.

We employ spray treatments as the most effective method of eradicating bedbugs, treating all infested areas before vacating the room for at least 4 hours to ensure thorough penetration of the insecticide. Infested items such as bedding and clothing must be washed at 60 degrees Celsius or dry cleaned before reuse.

In addition to traditional methods, we also offer heat treatments, where infested items are enclosed in a large plastic bubble and

heated to levels that destroy all stages of the pest's life cycle. The primary benefit of this pesticide-free extermination procedure is its efficacy.

For natural disinfestation, we utilize the Toxic-Free treatment, which eliminates bedbugs and their eggs using high heat steam disinfecting technology. With temperatures reaching up to 180°C, Toxic-Free delivers heat shock to achieve permanent disinfestation. Its dry, superheated steam can be applied to various surfaces and fabrics, including hidden corners and nesting areas, making it a highly effective and eco-friendly solution. Moreover, there is no post-treatment vent or downtime, saving time and costs for our clients compared to regular pesticide-based treatments.
