Rats like to gnaw their way through most materials, creating access points and collecting materials for nests.

Check around food and bin areas if you think you may have spotted or heard gnawing, as these spots can harbour rat activity.

Common rat droppings look dark brown or black, roughly around 12-18mm in length. Often shiny when freshly laid.

Droppings often smell strong and musty, a giveaway if you can’t necessarily spot the droppings themselves.

These dark greasy stains along skirting boards, entry points & other surfaces are common signs of a rat problem.
